I’m Katie and I’m so glad you found your way over to my little side of the world! I am a wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, licensed social worker, student, animal lover, photographer enthusiast, lover of all food, procrastinator of exercise, avid reader, and dreamer. I live in a small family friendly town often refered to as “The Loveliest Village on The Plains,” and am most happiest when the ones I love around me are safe, happy, and healthy!
I created this blog in 2011 and enjoyed it but simply was not organized enough to keep it going on top of everything else. But again, On New Year’s Eve, like many other people, I made SEVERAL resolutions and vowed to my family and friends that 2015 would be different (we’ve all been there, don’t judge!) It would be MY year, and there would be no broken or forgotten resolutions this go around. Unfortunately, my all too familiar resolutions to lose weight, exercise more, eat a healthier diet, become more organized, and make more time for myself were soon forgotten come the second week in January or quickly dismissed due to the fact that I was too busy and did not have the time or energy to start such an ambitious task, especially that of re-starting a blog.
Lucky, for you, dear reader, I have recently set my mind to actually fulfilling some of my resolutions for once in my life and am committing myself to this once and for all. I’m tired of broken resolutions year after year. I don’t want to regret or fear the coming of a new year anymore. I really do want to make a positive healthy lifestyle change, lose those darn pounds that keep hanging around, and be more organized. Who wouldn’t want that? I’m tired of always looking at what others do and carry out and wish that it were me who was doing that. I’m ready to pick up the broken pieces around me and put them together one by one, no matter how long it takes me to get there.
So I hope that you will join me on this new-found journey as I set out to blog about tackling my oh so many resolutions for the year as well as encourage me along the way.
